Mark Turpin, Partner and Chief Executive Officer
With more than 15 years in the staffing industry, Mark Turpin brings a fresh perspective to staffing in Texas. A perspective that urged Turpin and his partners to create a different kind of staffing firm that tailors solutions to a business’ individual needs, proactively builds and maintains a strong candidate pool and builds ongoing relationships with clients and candidates.
Turpin started his industry career as an onsite temporary staffing coordinator for an international staffing company at Apple Computer in Austin, Texas and was ultimately recognized as that firm’s top national sales representative for professional placement in 1998 and 1999. As HT Staffing CEO, Turpin leads operations to ensure HT Staffing delivers cost-effective, high-value, low-risk solutions for clients’ traditional, professional and technical staffing needs.
Turpin attended the University of Texas and lives in Austin. He actively participates in many local professional organizations, including Austin Roundtable and the Austin Independent Business Alliance. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Capital City Association of Personnel Consultants and on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Texas Association of Business. Turpin was recently tapped to join the board at Dress for Success Austin.
Nad Elias, Managing Partner
Nad Elias has been in the search and staffing business for 15+ years. Recognized by the Texas Association of Personnel Consultants as one of the top 50 recruiters in Texas, he is known for consistently delivering on-target results. Elias manages the HT Professional and HT Technical divisions.
Elias’ career has spanned all aspects of employer and candidate development, from conducting professional and executive searches and managing nationwide staffing projects to building long-term relationships with Fortune 500 companies. Elias’ areas of specialization are management consulting, sales and marketing, and IT/software development/engineering. He began his career in the recruiting industry, and it’s all he’s ever known. Elias has experience with leadership roles in global staffing organizations as well as starting and growing his own recruiting firm.
Austin is his home to Elias, a University of Texas graduate. He participates as a board member for the American Diabetes Association Central Texas Chapter and Entrepreneurs Organization Austin Chapter. Elias is President of the Capitol City Association of Personnel Consultants. He is also a member of the Austin Young Men’s Business League and the Austin Technology Council.
Jim Gilliam, Chairman
Jim Gilliam, founding partner and chairman of HT Staffing, is a major creative and strategic force behind the company’s growth. Gilliam has an extensive business background as a serial entrepreneur in multiple industries. He works closely with the management team to guide HT Staffing’s trajectory, ensuring the company continues to deliver on its vision to provide exceptional value to the business community.
Gilliam graduated from University of Texas and resides in Beaumont. His past associations include board service for the United Way, Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Baptist Hospital, the Orange Chamber of Commerce and the Orange County Economic Development Corporation. Gilliam currently serves as head coach for the Southeast Texas Junior Football League.
